Did you know, yellow lane dividers weren’t used nationwide until 1971 in the U.S.? They were first introduced in 1917, but the 1971 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices made them a nationwide standard.

We could say the job is over once we install new traffic signals in Maryland, but that wouldn’t be doing our communities justice. Not only do the Baldwin Line crews install traffic lights throughout Montgomery County and Maryland, but our crews also maintain them, ensuring they’re running properly. No one likes sitting at a light that’s too long, or one that’s too short!

The Baldwin Line fleet is growing! We’ve added a new dump truck to our arsenal, so we’re even more prepared for whatever infrastructure project Maryland needs!
