There’s something about taller lines that has always inspired me. It’s definitely a personal pursuit, different from when I establish a more standard, comfortable boulder problem that I know a lot of people will enjoy. Highballs usually take more work: carrying extra pads, rehearsing the sketchy parts, and waiting for the right moment to execute. I know most people won’t seek out these climbs, but that’s exactly what makes them more special and personal to me.

I just love going out and exploring for new climbs. Most of the time the lines don't even look possible at first, especially without chalk. Its funny how things can go from feeling absolute limit to completely doable, if you put the time in to understand the movement. That’s also what is so cool about rock climbing, there is always more than one way to figure it out depending on your body type/strengths.
These three lines all felt similarly in difficulty, but each challenging in its own way. Crush Depth is a sick compression roof with amazing sculpted holds hovering down in this pit. Pink Thunder has that wicked fat sloper in the middle and is slightly overhanging with some great technical moves through out. Demon Hand is a fun ride out the steep cave to a hard lip encounter and some very delicate vert at the end. They are all from last season, but I am just now getting around to posting them. Enjoy!
