2026 ALUM CLASS!!

Kick off Broughton Dance’s 25th year in our favorite place- Studio 2207! I am so excited for what this year will hold and cannot wait to share with alumni how I plan to connect as we continue to grow and discover BDD! My favorite way to close out summer and kick off the year is a night moving with BDD dancers from all different years!

**No you are not too old, no it hasn’t been too long, yes it will fill you up, yes I will jump when I see you, yes you’ll have 2 hours for YOU! Come as long as you can! **

We are so excited to be back in 2 weeks from today for our jam packed intensive! We cannot wait to have these women share their talents, passion and expertise with us as we become the strongest team we can!

And for our halftime… we have friendly fierce faces ready to give us QUEEN worthy choreography for our electrifying show!

Lexie Sawvel

⭐️ After High School: Lexie will be attending North Carolina State University in the Honors Program with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Dance Performance and Choreography.

⭐️ Lexie’s favorite BDD Memory: “Dropping my phone down the storm drain on our last day in Italy as we waited for the bus to take us to class; it was a really long plane ride home.”

⭐️ Lexie’s Favorite quote from BDD: “Yeah, I just think you could’ve given more. I couldn’t say that to anyone else, or they’d cry, but I knew you could handle it.” -Ms. Graves

⭐️ Advice to the Future BHS dancers: Don’t wait for an opportunity to pass before you decide to take it. Don’t wait to help out, but also don’t be afraid to ask for it. You will meet the best people, learn valuable lessons, be challenged physically and artistically, and experience once-in-a-lifetime things. 2207 is such an amazing place, so allow yourself to enjoy every moment and be ALL in. Dance because YOU love it and try new things, it’s truly over before you know it.

⭐️ After High School: Audrey is planning on attending Florida State University to get my BFA in Musical Theatre.

⭐️ Audrey’s favorite BDD Memory: “Getting Chick-fil-a with Ms Graves’ credit card and becoming friends with the worker Dominic.”

⭐️ Advice to the Future BHS dancers: Not everything goes the way you want or plan. Be okay with rebounding and trying again. Art is all about trial and error, and although it is frustrating to start over, that’s how some of the most creative choices are made.
