Food insecurity is affecting more families now than during the height of the pandemic.

Here in Morris County, we’ve seen that reality reflected in the growing need for meals and support. Behind every number is a person or family navigating rising costs for housing, groceries, healthcare, childcare, and other essentials.

At nourish.NJ, we know hunger is never just about food. That’s why we begin with meals served in person and continue building trust, connection, and pathways toward stability.

More people are going hungry now than at the height of the pandemic Food insecurity affects more families now than during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new survey from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of food, stories, and community at nourish.NJ’s Cook ’n Book: Gnocchi Night with Maria Costanzo Palmer on Thursday, June 18.

Spend the evening learning how to make ricotta gnocchi inspired by Maria’s family restaurant, The Primadonna, then sit down together to enjoy the meal you helped create. The night also includes a conversation about her award-winning book On the Rocks, currently being adapted into a film.

More than a cooking class, this event supports nourish.NJ’s mission to provide more than meals: food, housing, and hope. Any remaining food prepared during the class will be shared with our neighbors the following day — extending the impact beyond the kitchen.
