Growing up I never witnessed my mom give up. She moved forward even if things were not in her favor.
She loved people even though they mistreated her.
She forgave even when I personally thought she should’ve told them all to go to hell.

My mom’s posture towards others taught me the action of grace and release.
She showed me that I can extend love and grace without stabilizing a physical connection. She told me that I could always choose peace over entertaining chaos.

Today I honor her life and her unwavering spirit.
