I finally got to try the Grit InmyBelly food truck when they were set up at Adventureland Theme Park today. I got the Catfish & Grits and added some shrimp on the side. We also got the classic Shrimp & Grits for the A-land crew to try. Other choices were Oxtail, Lamb Chops, Chicken, and Salmon. I was chatting with some people in the parking lot as we were waiting for our food and someone told me they had tried EVERYTHING on the menu and she was back for more. That fish was so crispy, and the grits so creamy and flavorful. The shrimp were perfect! These dishes had no business being this good! Follow her page on socials to find out where she will be next!

We have wanted to check out Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show (16061 Panama City Pkwy near Pier Park) since they opened, so here’s our experience. The Noms Mom was excited to go because she loves Dolly Parton (who doesn’t), and I was excited about the FEAST! Get there early for some fun pre-show entertainment, then move into the main room where all the action is. This show was incredible: acrobatics, animal acts, high-diving, dancing and singing, and a friendly competition between the red and blue sides of the audience. There was sometimes so many things going on that I didn’t know where to look! The feast started off with some creamy vegetable soup and a garlic biscuit. I could have just eaten those 2 things all night, but there was MUCH MORE. There was also a half of a roasted chicken, pulled pork (use the BBQ sauce) , mashed potatoes, corn, and a choice of dessert! You will not leave hungry! We chose the chocolate coconut cake to end our meal. This facility is so nice and spacious, plenty of parking, and a little road that connects directly to Pier Park. Lots of family fun, and lots of good food is a fantastic combination. We loved it, and hope to go back for the Christmas show!
