Black bear in Dickson!

Brad Skyes caught a black bear on his trail camera in Dickson today.

His wife, Karen-Musgrove Skyes says "We have all kinds of wild life in our back yard, but never did I expect to have a bear come passing through. And at the time the bear was picked up on camera, I was grilling burgers at the barn where he would travel right behind moments later"

Ray Ledger Has Suspended His Campaign For Dickson County Mayor

From Ray Ledger:

After much prayer, thought, and conversations with people I trust, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the race for Dickson County Mayor.

This was not an easy decision. We have built a strong campaign filled with good people who truly care about the future of our county. I am deeply humbled by every handshake, every prayer, every donation, every sign placed in a yard, and every word of encouragement along the way. Your support has meant more to me and my family than I can properly express.

As this race has developed, I believe remaining in it could divide votes in a way that may ultimately hurt the direction and future of Dickson County. I entered this race with strong conservative values and a desire to serve our community with integrity, faith, and common-sense leadership. At this point, I believe it is important for conservative voters to unite behind one candidate who has the strongest path forward in August.

Because of that, I ask my supporters to strongly consider supporting Danny Williams for Mayor in the August election. I believe Danny has the ability to continue moving Dickson County forward.

I want everyone to know this campaign was never about personal ambition. It was about serving the people of Dickson County, protecting our values, managing growth responsibly, and fighting for the future of our community.

Though this chapter is ending, my love for Dickson County is not. I will continue supporting our community, our businesses, our churches, and the people who make this county such a special place to call home.

Thank you again for standing beside me. We ran a strong race, and I will forever be grateful for each and every one of you.

May God continue to bless Dickson County and the people who call it home.

Ray Ledger
