Allow me to reintroduce myself… 🤍
Starting 2026 off strong!
I’m officially Angela B. Burgess, IMH-E® — an Infant Family Specialist endorsed by the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MI-AIMH) for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health®.
This endorsement reflects a deep commitment to supporting infants, young children, and families through connection, culture, and relationship-centered care.
This is more than a title—it’s a calling.
Honored, grateful, and ready for all that 2026 holds. 🫶🏽

™️ BlackWomenTherapists HealingInCommunity WeComingInHot
I started this year as a one-woman team, and I’m honestly still in awe of what 12 months—365 days—can do.
In one year, ™️ has grown beyond anything I could have imagined. We’ve added seven clinicians (and counting), a group facilitator, an incredible biller, a parent & staff engagement coordinator, an educational advocacy coach, and launched multiple new initiatives—including MyselfIncluded Minis, Early Childhood Consulting, and School-Based Advocacy. I also co-authored a children’s book focused on emotional regulation, expanding our impact to even the youngest hearts.
Because of this growth, we’ve been able to triple the number of clients we serve, support a daycare, and expand our work with families navigating school advocacy. This year, we also extended our practice beyond Michigan and into Texas, allowing us to support even more individuals and families across state lines. What started as a vision has become a team, a community, and a movement rooted in care, collaboration, and healing.
And now—our impact is going global. In 2026, we’re going to Africa, expanding the reach of beyond borders and continuing the work of healing, connection, and service on a global level.
This is just the beginning.
As we look ahead to 2026, I’m excited for what’s coming—groups starting back, new group launches, the Strong Black Woman Conference, and continued expansion of our programming and impact.
“Myself first, not myself only” isn’t just a mantra—it’s a reminder. A reminder to take care of you before pouring into everyone else, and to remember that you were never meant to do this alone.
Here’s to growth, alignment, and everything ahead.
