🚨URGENT FOSTER🚨 needed to welcome Kylo to Colorado this coming Sunday!

Kylo’s story:
I first saw a video pleading for someone to rescue Kylo in early February after he had been attacked by another dog in the playyard at San Antonio Animal Care Services. He looked completely shut down and unfortunately that’s a death sentence in an overcrowded, high-kill shelter (VIDEO IN THE COMMENTS).
Kylo deserved someone to take a chance on him. He deserved to live life like ever dog should… safe and adored. Fortunately a wonderful foster of ours, Valerie, agreed to temporarily house him until transport to Colorado. She and another awesome foster of ours, Carlie, had “shared foster custody” of this sweet guy and he quickly learned to adjust to either household. At first, he was shy and unsure of himself and clearly had never known any stability or love.
Today he is a different dog! Although he can be initially reserved, Kylo has learned he is finally safe and therefore much more confident in his surroundings. What we have discovered about him is that he is wonderful with other dogs, good with both younger and older kids, housebroken, crate-trained (it’s his safe space!), and medium-energy. He walks well on leash (VIDEO IN THE COMMENTS) and even enjoys snuggle time with his humans! Kylo is seriously one of the cutest mixes we’ve ever seen! He is multi-colored with small ears and big, round eyes excited for his next adventure. At just 45 lbs, Kylo is the PERFECT SIZE!

PLEASE LET’S FIND HIM A FOSTER HOME! We know the adoption market is saturated and although he has been posted for a few months now, he truly deserves to land safely on Sunday in a home with a soft bed. A boarding environment would truly set him back and impact the amazing progress he has made with Valerie and Carlie in San Antonio.

AMAZING PROGRESS UPDATE!

Audrey arrived to Red Fern last winter as a very scared pup after experiencing trauma trying to survive with her family on a ranch in Texas. Her dedicated foster, June, has truly done an amazing job working with her and today she did so well at her vet appointment!
