Thank you all who have attended these last few Deya Sound System events. This last weekend was super special wrapping up our 2 week collaboration with Soundboy Entertainment. Was awesome to just celebrate underground music and those who put out constant effort to keep it fresh n flavorful for the people.

Today we were able to donate $500 dollars to the family of Vaughn Benjamin the Akae Beka of Midnite. A profound icon within not only sound system, but roots reggae music and rastafari. Big up all who attended that session, recap soon come.

When you go to a DDSS event, your money goes to hardworking creatives and others who sacrifice their effort, money and time to better music culture, and promote a positive movement. Local businesses from around the country and even world. Not ur local corporate executives new jeep, or 3rd Lakehouse, or culturally appropriated vacation package. This ain’t a dig at anyone gettin money, but def one at those taking from cultures that simply don’t belong to them.
