As we reach the halfway point of 2026, we're proud of the impact we've made together. 💙

So far this year, we've hosted 11 mentor interest meetings, interviewed 7 prospective mentors, trained 2 new mentors, and created 2 new mentoring matches for youth with foster care experience.

We've also strengthened community partnerships, welcomed 3 new board members, participated in professional development opportunities, and connected with organizations dedicated to supporting foster youth.

Every conversation, training, and partnership helps create more opportunities for young people to build lasting relationships and sustainable independence. Thank you to everyone who supports our mission. We're excited to see what the rest of 2026 brings! 🌟

Next in our Board Member Re-Introduction series is Shristi!

Shristi brings years of frontline leadership and a deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations. Since 2018, she has dedicated her career to supporting survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence, helping women, children, and families move from crisis to safety and stability.

As Head of the Housing Program at Mosaic Family Services, Shristi oversees trauma-informed housing services and advocates for the belief that safe, stable housing is the foundation for healing and long-term success. Her passion for empowering individuals to build brighter futures and her commitment to amplifying the voices of those she serves make her an invaluable member of the WAY Alliance board.

We're grateful to have Shristi's expertise, compassion, and advocacy helping guide our mission to support youth with foster care experience. 💙

Did You Know? June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Did you know that men are often less likely to seek mental health support due to stigma, social expectations, and concerns about being perceived as weak?

For youth with foster care experience, these challenges can be even greater. Many young men in foster care have experienced trauma, loss, instability, and adverse childhood experiences that can impact their mental health and well-being.

At WAY Alliance, we believe every young person deserves a safe space to be heard, supported, and connected to caring adults who can help them navigate life's challenges.

A trusted mentor can make a lasting difference by providing encouragement, stability, and a reminder that asking for help is a sign of strength.
