Beginning July 10th in Massachusetts, the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival kicks off as one of the most stunning events of the summer anywhere in New England! Running July 10–19, 2026, this Cape-wide garden celebration is built around self-guided tours of private gardens, each one shaped by the homeowners who care for it. Visitors can wander stone paths lined with blue, pink, and white hydrangeas, see pollinator gardens alive with bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and explore spaces filled with Japanese maples, koi ponds, shade plants, annuals, perennials, garden art, and hidden seating areas.

Some stops highlight tiny yards turned into wildlife havens, while others feature larger landscapes, greenhouses, labyrinths, vegetables, fruit trees, and native plants. Tours are generally $5 cash per person per garden, with proceeds helping local nonprofits. Most gardens are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on listed days, rain or shine. Beyond the tours, visitors can enjoy talks, workshops, nursery promotions, pruning tips, artist demonstrations, and hydrangea displays at Heritage Museums & Gardens. Hyannis adds waterfront artist shanties and local art, making it more than flowers alone too.
