So much fun at the Lego Showcase today! These 2nd and 3rd grade clubs did amazing!!! Thank you to all of our families for coming and supporting us!! Thank you Volusia STEM for hosting this event at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Daytona Beach Campus!

3rd Grade’s STEM SQUAD is getting ready for our Showcase at Embry-Riddle! Lots of work going on finishing up radar detectors, excavation sites, and team displays. Can’t wait for them to show off all their hard work!

So proud of our 4th and 5th grade STEM SQUAD at our county’s For The Love Of Robots competition! They did amazing and won the BREAKTHROUGH trophy! 🏆 Way to go! 🤖♥️

We had an amazing turn out at our first STEM NIGHT at Freedom Elementary! It was amazing to see our school come together for the love of STEM! Special thanks to our teachers and staff that helped plan, prepare, run, and clean up our activities! Big shout out to our Volusia STEM for sending the STEM BUS! The kids loved it! Also thank you to Deland High’s Peter Policke and his STEM volunteers for showing us what we can look forward to in High School! Thank you DHS’s IB volunteers as well!! And of course our beloved Freedom Elementary PTA for the popcorn, cookies, and punch!! Thank you!

4th and 5th grades Lego Robotics Challenge team is getting ready for competition! Freedom Elementary Volusia STEM

Today 3rd grade LEGO Explore Robotics club met for the first time. We learned about being an archeologist and finding “artifacts” to create stories about who used it, when was it used and where, and why did they have it. We have some very creative students! Then we worked on being a good presenter as well as being a respectful listener. Love this group! Special shout out and thank you to.Mrs. Lozada and Mrs. Crandlemire for helping today!
