I feel like I can finally officially post now that my last long-distance show is complete. I know a lot of you have reached out asking how things are going and what’s been happening. So here it is.
After this weekend’s show, I am no longer traveling for my work shows. I’m not saying I won’t ever hit the road again, but for now, I’m hanging up the keys. This last year, we celebrated 10 years in business. In those 10 years, my business has grown exponentially, and my hope in hanging up the keys is that this pivot will allow for new growth.

2025 hit me hard. Like really, really hard. Between sickness, mental health struggles, economic impacts outside of my control (my inventory costs increased by 58%), and relationship hardships, I hit my breaking point. I experienced some of my lowest lows when it comes to depression. I am thankful for great therapy, medication, family, and friends who helped dig me out of the grave I felt like I was digging for myself.

2026 started off better, but with a new back injury diagnosis and hopes of avoiding surgery, this has become a major deciding factor in my next move, along with the declining economic climate.

So, what’s up?

I know a lot of people have noticed a shift. I’ve relinquished the remaining shows on my schedule back to the organizer (minus Tulsa and Denver) to refocus on life—to be home with my family and to become a healthier, better version of me. Being a mom and a wife on the road is hard, to be completely honest. Being away from two of your favorite people for weeks at a time is the worst. In the words of Amelia, “it breaks my heart into little squares.”

At this time, I’ve been interviewing for positions in the Tulsa area, and I have more lined up this week. I’m exploring roles in web, SEO, and graphic design, as well as in my degree field of Sport Science and Wellness. I’m putting all the cards on the table and allowing my hand to be guided toward what’s next (fingers crossed something lands quickly!).

THE BOO-TIQUE IS NOT CLOSING ITS DOORS. We are remaining open. I will continue to sell online, release designs, and refocus on the things I love. I’ll be doing shows in the Tulsa area as I choose, but for now, I’m not putting anything in stone, outside of the fact that I am putting my work travel keys away.

I love my amazing friends who are still doing this, and I will miss you all so much. I look forward to seeing you at the few shows I’ll still be doing. Like I’ve told so many who have already heard from me, I’m not dying (yet, lol). I’ll be around, so don't make it weird 😉.
xoxo,
Chele
