Every May 15 is Peace Officers Memorial Day: USA flag half staff
Memorial Day falls within Police Week, to honor the courage, sacrifice and dedication of law enforcement officers.
As a 30 + year retired Police officer and my son a Huntington Police Sergeant, I respectfully put my home USA flag at half staff today...sunrise to sunset. ๐

I want to give a big THANK YOU to all who voted for me in the Republican primary for Adams County District 2 councilman. I greatly appreciate it. Even though I was unopposed, I still went out talking to people and made numerous appearances at events to give my reasons why I was running for District 2.
Congrats to all my fellow Adams County Republicans on their primary wins.
I want to THANK my supporters for letting me put a CORRAL sign in their yard. I apologize to those who wanted a sign, I just didn't order enough. I was very overwhelmed by all the requests for one.
I also submitted my name to be a Republican Delegate. I was elected as 1 of 12 delegates to represent Adams County at next month's GOP Convention in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Another big THANK YOU to those who voted for me. I greatly appreciate it.
Most importantly I want to thank my wife Kim (my rock) and my family โค๏ธ. Kim does not like politics but she has been with me every step of the way in my campaign. She knows I have a passion to serve. She knew it the first time when I put on that Decatur PD uniform back on August 15, 1994 and that passion continues today.
I'm going to take some time off from the campaign trail. I have some upcoming local charitable pickleball and golf events I'll be playing in and possibly talk about politics ๐
On to November!
Thank you,
Leonard Corral, Jr.

Great evening at last nights Adams County GOP Lincoln Dinner. Mingled with a lot of friends throughout the event.
Main guest speaker US congresswoman Erin Houchin gave an inspirational speech. I also got to chat with my good friend Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.
Good job Adams County GOP! ๐บ๐ธ

Today after work I put out my CORRAL for District 2 signs in various locations throughout the city of Decatur.
I appreciate everyone who reached out to me to put a sign in their yard. Unfortunately I only ordered a certain amount of signs. I am so overwhelmed by all of the support on my campaign run.
Thank you,
Leonard Corral, Jr.
Happy Easter.
Just attended a great church service with family at The Bridge.

Today I celebrate 3 years at Adams Health. I retired from a great job, to start a new great job. ๐
I still have sticky note that Kim wrote to me on my first day taped on my office desk.

Last night, Lennie attended a "Meet the Candidates" event held at the 4H Expo Hall in Monroe. This event was sponsored by the Adams County Farm Bureau. There were members of the general public in attendance.
Each candidate was given 2 minutes to give a biography about themselves, followed by a brief outline of goals they would pursue if elected. Afterwards there was time for a Q & A from the public.
Lennie told the attending crowd his reasons for running for District 2 County Councilman. Those reasons included him wanting to be a strong voice for the fiscal body of the county, and that he also loves to serve the people in our county. Lennie's love for serving comes from being a Decatur Police Officer. He was a decorated 30 year Police Officer. Lennie retired as Chief of Police in 2023.
One thing that Lennie said last night that was a pretty interesting fact was that he was raised, has lived, raised his own family, and worked in District 2 his entire life.
It was a fun event listening to all of the candidates give their views, passion, and goals for running for public office.
