⛳☀️ Summer is in full swing, and our TAGS-BRAVE youth are making the most of it!

June’s theme is Living in My Truth, encouraging youth across Georgia to embrace their authentic selves, build confidence, and recognize the value of their unique stories. Through meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and supportive connections, participants are learning that their voices matter and their truth deserves to be heard.

Whether they’re enjoying a round of mini golf, spending time at Topgolf, or connecting with peers and mentors, youth are building relationships, strengthening life skills, and creating memories along the way.

At TAGS-BRAVE, we’re committed to creating spaces where youth can grow, connect, and thrive while living in their truth.

As Atlanta welcomes the world for the FIFA World Cup 2026, we wanted to highlight a piece of our city’s history that many people pass every day without knowing its story.

The Carrie Steele Bridge honors Mrs. Carrie Steele-Logan, a formerly enslaved woman who founded Carrie Steele-Pitts Home in 1888 after witnessing children sleeping on the streets of Atlanta. What began as one woman’s determination to care for vulnerable children grew into an organization that has served thousands of youth over the last 138 years.

Today, as visitors from around the globe experience Atlanta, the bridge stands as a reminder of the compassion, resilience, and community spirit that helped shape our city.

For more than a century, Carrie Steele-Pitts Home has continued Mrs. Steele-Logan’s mission by supporting children, youth, and families across Georgia.

Sometimes the most important landmarks are the ones that tell the stories of people who changed lives.
