Southern Pride Performance

Nice little round of golf with my groomsmen today. Grateful that these gents could make it out to SoCal a few days early for the wedding and bachelor party & grateful for for treating us to a round of golf & hosting us all.

Full race report from The Ridge coming soon, but Sunday was nothing short of chaos. Morning warmup saw Mat hit the deck due to something odd out of his control.

The bike was TOTALED. 4.5 hours til it had to be on the grid for Race 2 and the team got right to work. They finished the bike with about 10 minutes to spare then we all held our breath as Mat took to the grid.

The goal was to “salvage points”. Instead, Mat just about won on a brand new bike with no laps spun on it before that race.

While we would’ve loved the win, it was an insane achievement by the team… one of the greatest single day achievements in racing I have ever personally witnessed. It was a testament to the level of our team at … everyone stepped up and helped out… as a result we head to Laguna with the points lead.

Going to enjoy a week off, then my wedding, then we’re right back at it in Monterey, California.
