Dr. Ghetti (head of the Memory and Development Lab) was recently interviewed by KCRA Sacramento about the results of our recent publication on brain activity in response to recently learned words: “What we are seeing is at the period where the brain develops very fast, also the ability to learn is increasing. Words are one marker of the remarkable learning that children are able to do in such a short period of time. You are right that we can help their learning by talking to them, reading to them, and engaging them in conversations."
