CHECK IT OUT! – In 2002, I reconstructed Reynolda House for Piedmont Craftsmen’s collaborative “Strength in Numbers” exhibition. The 34-inch sculpture later was accepted into the national “Feats of Clay” competition in Lincoln, CA. An image of the work appeared in the May 2004 issue of Ceramics Monthly, as well as the August 2024 issue of Our State magazine. It was last displayed in Piedmont Craftsmen’s “60th Anniversary Exhibition.
Forsyth County Central Library, located at 660 W 5th St, is now the “permanent home” of the sculpture. Karen Feeney, NC Collection supervisor, remarked, “I am so thrilled that we have Reynolda House here for everyone to enjoy. It is one of the landmarks of Winston-Salem, and a symbol of a family that has had a major impact on other families in the area for generations.”

PERMANENT RESIDENCE – Mona and I drove to Davidson today to check my “Eumenan Hall” sculpture into the 5 STAR Davidson Village Inn. The sculpture is prominently displayed in the hotel’s commons area. Thanks, Mariano & Caroline Doble, for making this acquisition possible.
