What do you expect from a 15th Century stronghold?

The "whimsy-goth" garden of my dreams is in Scotland at Drummond Castle.

The William Wallace Monument served as the primary inspiration the laboratory for Guillermo del Toros adaption of Mary Shelleys Frankenstein.

My sons namesake comes directly from Mary Shelleys Frankenstein, so we naturally toured many integral areas to it's history and film on this trip.

Alternative to my obsession with women of horror, is simply admiring and paying my respects to the scottish womans greatest real life hero, William Wallace!

His sword is displayed in the monument and it is strikingly large that it's actually unsettling and slightly terrifying.

Stirling was insanely cool and a great start to our Scottish road trip!

The moment you realize you're still on U.K. time...

There was no fu***ng way I was going to England without making a pit stop in Birmingham to visit the bridge.

We spent a portion of our last day in Edinburgh walking through Greyfriars Kirkyard Cemetery.

I seen the grave of the goodest boy, Bobby; as well as the grave of Tom Riddle.
