“Suddenly, my guitar is buzzing like mad”. When we get low humidity from our Santa Ana winds, the neck can dry out and “backbow” the neck. It will then buzz on frets 2-5 or 7, then stop on higher frets. It can be dramatic. Temporary solution is to ease the truss rod slightly, but return to original position when ambient humidity returns to 50%-ish. Best solution is to use humidity control tools to keep the guitar within 40-60% relative humidity. Humidity is important. Too high or too low wreaks havoc on acoustics and some electrics. If u have a strat with this style of truss rod, using a very small 1/8 inch Allen wrench sized nut, make damn sure the wrench you use fits tightly and is seated properly in the nut. Tool tolerance quality control isn’t what it used to be and a poor fit will strip out the nut on these very quickly. I’ve also found several of these truss rods tended to stick and require more torque than they should, use care or bring it to me to make the adjustments
