This has been a problem in my industry for quite some time. I'm glad someone has noticed and is trying to do something about it.

Anthem BCBS may face class action suit for alleged ‘ghost network’ A first-of-its-kind lawsuit seeking class action status against Anthem BCBS accuses the insurer of misleading patients.

Yesterday Anthony had the heart procedure performed at the Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital that had been mentioned previously. Here is the response I got from Lynsey earlier this morning.....
GM! Surgery went well. Heart cath came back with good numbers according to the doctors. The pacemaker/defibrillator went ok. He did great. They were not able to get the 3rd lead into the left side to size of heart. They will meet with surgeons and heart team to see if they should try and go back in and place the 3rd. (That will come in a few months if they do)....

While the procedure was successful, there is a lingering "issue" they will address in the not-so-distant future regarding the placement of the LVAD. Anthony, and his family, will have another consult with his medical team to determine the next step(s). Anthony remains positive he will come out on the other side of these issues. Your good thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

I am SOOO happy to report that Anthony, AMac, has been transferred to the BSW Heart Hospital in Plano, and is doing great!

He is still scheduled for the LVAD (internal defibrilator), possibly tomorrow, TBD after a consult with the Cardiologist, so we still have a little work to do, but the great news is he is getting better every day!

He loves having peeps stop by, so if you're in the area, drop by and give him a big hug! Afterall, this is a much different situation than what we had going just a short week ago today.
