Finally had a chance to build a piece that's been on the drawing board for years.
The objective was to design a functional side chair using less than 1 sheet of plywood. By juxtaposing and interlocking two right angles, a sculptural, but useful piece was created. The ¼” plywood is mitered together to form a rigid “skin”, which holds the piece upright and provides a lightweight but very strong occasional seat. When not in use, the chair can be seen as a simple, geometric sculpture.

A 2,400 square foot warehouse converted into a residence.
