https://www.interactiveyouthtransport.com/blog/adolescent-transport-private-care-best-practice
After years working with families in adolescent behavioral health crises, I've noticed the same pattern:
Families check licenses and insurance, feel relieved they found a "compliant" provider. Often calling us when things do not go as planned.
Regulatory compliance has always been designed to set the floor on standards of care. It doesn't guarantee the best care.
In this blog we discuss what families and providers alike should actually look for when evaluating adolescent transport, case management, or other private care options and navigators of the behavioral health field.
How to Choose Innovative Adolescent Transport & Private Care — Interactive Learn how to identify forward-thinking adolescent transport providers and private care options using trauma-informed care. Expert guidance for families in crisis.

IYT has worked hard to provide a service that providers, families, and teens alike can count on. We’ve always aimed to shift the paradigm, moving transport from a last resort to a first choice for interventions aimed at teen treatment. We see the transport window as an opportunity, a moment when adolescents are most receptive to connection and when the groundwork for a smooth therapeutic transition can truly begin. This year at the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP) 2026 Annual Conference in San Diego, CA from February 9th-11th Bobby Tredinnick LMSW-CASAC will be presenting on this very topic and the outcomes it has created. We would love to see you there!
