My very first Mother’s Day💜
What a sweet journey have these past two months been. Never did I think that motherhood would teach me so much in such a short period of time. From empathy to patience, to resilience and humility (just to name a few). I am grateful for this new role.

I wish a very great Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there. You deserve to be celebrated today and every day!

On a fashion note: I was so happy to wear this outfit today! It’s a sample set we worked on last year, which was finished when I had just found out I was pregnant (and very bloated!). I hope to be able to share this design with y’all sometime soon!

A year ago today🤍 People find it hilarious and insane when I tell them that on a Monday night, Brent and I decided to get married the coming Sunday - we planned a wedding (and the civil ceremony) in 5 days.

SO much happened in those days. Family members booked flights to Honduras. I didn’t even think about a hair appointment and did half of my make up myself. Did I remember photos and video? No, but thankfully my friends and sisters did and my cousin’s incredibly talented. I didn’t have time to design my wedding earrings, but a friend saved the day. I dreamt of having my sister design and make my invites, but since there was no time, I sent invites via WhatsApp starting the text by asking friends if they had plans on Sunday😂. (If she made your invites I am very jelly). In the craziness of it all, I forgot to send Zoom invites to more loved ones than I can remember. We sure missed so many friends and family that day.

But as I reminisce today, I think about how much I love our wedding story. Everything was simple, but we witnessed so much love in its different forms. It opened my eyes to the beauty there is in simplicity forged by love. I am reminded today that many things in zindagi (life) can be uncomplicated and spontaneous yet beautiful.
