The amount of truly innovative, novel tech out there is much less than you would think.

There are a lot of new technologies that make iterative improvements on well-established players, but very few are truly novel.

Agree or disagree?

Don't live in fear.

Reality probably won't be as bad as your imagination.

There is a difference between having a moment of feeling fearful or a day of being afraid and living in fear.

A leader I greatly respect says it this way, "If you miss one day, don't let it be two."

A moment of fear or a day living scared is called being human. We all have this happen.

Break the cycle. You are more than a conqueror.

Who else is celebrating National Ice Cream day??

Yes. This is a dumb holiday.

But not for someone with a sweet tooth :)

Go do something you enjoy today.

It is the weekend.

You earned some time to rest and enjoy the life you have built thus far.

What that means for me? Family time and / or golf. Enjoy your weekend!

Many industries are soft in this market.

The stock market does not indicate this.

In a market like this, it becomes increasingly important to focus on the value driven, the problem solved, or the efficiencies gained to make a sale in the B2B space.

If you don't do that, then your service or product you sell will also have a soft year.

Partnerships are successful.

Vendor relationships aren't.

Business value gets driven in an organization because the Champion and Economic Buyer have a competent team for ex*****on, and the partner's team is a great business partner to the Champion and EB.

Only way success happens in big, complex deals or big, strategic initiatives. Full stop.

You know what I have been encouraged by recently?

The amount of deals I have worked where IT and Security leaders are focused on the business value being driven in a project or purchase.

I could not say this 3-5 years ago.

Good job IT and Cyber leaders! The future is bright if this continues.
