July is just around the corner, and you're probably gearing up for some holiday hosting—whether it’s at the lake or in your backyard.

At our house, we're also celebrating Scott's birthday alongside the Fourth, so we’re keeping it simple but festive with a little red, white & blue, some fresh flowers, and just the right amount of laid-back summer charm.

Rug size matters. When working with clients, rug size is always a topic of conversation. It can be tempting to go with a smaller rug to save money, but the truth is a larger rug sets the stage for good design, So, when choosing a rug, remember these tips:👇⁠

1️⃣ Bigger is better – When in doubt, always size up. It makes your room feel larger and less cramped.⁠
2️⃣ Avoid a floating rug – At least two legs of your sofas and chairs should sit on the rug.⁠
3️⃣ Define the space – Use rugs to create zones, especially in a home with open floorplans.
