✨ Across the Globe 🌍: Highlights from our April Ask Auntie! Uganda Circle 🇺🇬 🌍💛

From laughter-filled 😂 moments during the Human Knot activity… to heartfelt 🫶🏽sharing about friendships, community, and the people who make us feel seen… this session was a beautiful reminder of connection beyond borders. 🤝✨

Beautifully guided with such care and intention by our incredible volunteer facilitator, Samhitha Murthy, and made possible through our partnership Raise Up for the Needy on the ground in Uganda, these circles continue to create SAFE spaces where children can open up, reflect, and grow. 🌱

As we explored what it truly means to have a community, not just being surrounded by people, but feeling supported, valued, and like you belong. It was powerful to witness how openly and honestly the children shared! 💬

No matter where children are in the world 🌍 they’re ours to protect, to nurture, to listen to, and to believe in…

Lets be honest, when we give children the space to speak, the safety to feel, and the support to belong… we don’t just change their day, we help shape their future! 🌍✨

✨As we recognize National Volunteer Week, we’re taking a moment to pause and say thank you. 🙏🏽

To our incredible volunteers ✨and supporters, the ones who show up, step in, and stand beside us in ways both seen and unseen… we honor you.🧡

Whether you’re facilitating SAFE spaces, supporting families/clients behind the scenes, serving on our board, creating 🫶🏽meaningful content, guiding our youth, working community tables, or simply amplifying our voice, Y💛U are the heartbeat of everything we do!

🫶🏽 Your time becomes someone’s hope. Your voice becomes someone’s courage. Your presence becomes someone’s SAFE place.

Because of you, families feel less alone.
Because of you, conversations begin.
Because of you, cycles are challenged and change becomes possible.🦋

You are not just supporting a mission…
You are moving it forward with strength, compassion, and purpose. ♥️

✨ Volunteers don’t just give their time, they give the world a reason to believe that kindness still leads, and that together, we can rewrite what’s possible.

What is CHILD ABUSE❓

What you’re about to see isn’t easy…
but it’s necessary. Child abuse doesn’t always look the way we expect. It hides in everyday moments in what’s said, what’s done, and what’s withheld.

Physical abuse. Sexual abuse. Neglect. Emotional abuse. Different forms… one reality: harm to a child’s safety, trust, and sense of self.

And the hardest truth? Many children don’t have the words to tell us it’s happening. So we have to learn to see it. If we miss the signs, we miss the child.

This month isn’t just about awareness,
it’s about responsibility. To notice. To question. To act. Because one informed adult can change a child’s life. 💙

Behind every statistic is a story too painful to be spoken… Physical abuse. Neglect. Emotional abuse. Sexual abuse.

These aren’t just categories, they are fragments of childhood, broken apart… each holding layers of pain, silence, and unseen suffering that most will never witness or dare to comprehend.

What we often overlook is this: these forms of abuse rarely exist in isolation.

🔵 They overlap.
🔵 They intertwine.
🔵 They intensify.

And when they do, the impact doesn’t just increase, it compounds. It cuts deeper. It leaves lasting imprints.

This 💙 Child Abuse Prevention Month, we must stop reducing abuse to a checklist. These are not just labels, they are realities. They are cries for help. They are urgent calls for us to see more clearly, listen more closely, believe more deeply, and protect more fiercely.

Because when we truly understand the weight of what children carry, we become better equipped to stand up, speak out, and show up.

Children are not an afterthought.
They are our greatest responsibility. ACT LIKE IT!

✨Some highlights 📸 from this past Saturday… 💙

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness month, nearly 70 hearts 💙 came together and what was created was nothing short of powerful!

For the third year in a row, Color me SAFE Foundation and Charities2Love💗 partnered to bring Hugs of Hope Bags 🤗 to life, reminding children that they are seen, supported, and never alone.

Together, our incredible volunteers created 100 unique Hugs of Hope bags filled with comfort, essentials, and love for children in crisis. 🧸📚🧦🪥🖍️lovingly distributed to children in our local community to our nonprofit partners - 💙+🏠 Heart House 💙+🏡 Isaiah 117 House, and 💙+🌊 Mercy's Shore each doing incredible work to support children with care, dignity, and compassion.

In addition, 84 heartfelt cards were written for foster children across the country, to be mailed through Cards For Cubs spreading care far beyond our immediate reach.🫶🏽

This day was more than just an event.
It was compassion in action.
It was community showing up.
It was love, packed into every bag and every 📝handwritten word!

We are also honored that this meaningful day was part of Good Deeds Day, global movement focused on positive change and we felt that energy all afternoon long. 🌍✨ Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of something so big and beautiful 🫶🏽🌎

To everyone who showed up, donated items, and gave their time so selflessly, thank you! 🙏🏽💙You are the reason moments like this exist. You are the reason hope continues to reach the children who need it most.

✨ Because when a community comes together with intention, we don’t just give… we uplift, we empower, and we remind every child that they matter!

💙 April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a powerful reminder that behind every statistic is a child whose voice may not have been heard, whose story may still be waiting to be seen.

This month invites us to pause but not to limit our awareness. It calls us to carry this responsibility forward, in the way we show up for children every single day.

We do more than raise awareness, we take a stand. We show up. We speak up. We protect.

In Texas and across our communities, these are not just numbers, they are real children who need safe spaces, trusted adults, and unwavering support.

Child abuse leaves lasting wounds but together, we have the power to break cycles, to intervene, and to create change.

Prevention begins with us. With awareness. With education. With choosing to care… consistently. 💙

This April, we wear blue 🧢 not just as a color but as a commitment. A commitment that does not end when the month does.

Because every child deserves to feel safe. Every child deserves to be heard. Every child deserves a life filled with dignity, love, and protection.

🦋💙 Every child matters. Every voice matters.
