Alright folks, I'm Fallon Jacobs Sr., and brunch isn't usually our thing. In fact, since he moved here, we've never really done the whole Sunday Funday or weekend thing together. But yesterday, we made an exception.
We're pretty picky about food, but I'm even more particular about brunch – it's like my love language, you know? We weren't looking for anyone twerking over our toast, just good, chill brunch vibes.
I've been friends with Jonathon Erdeljac on Facebook for years, but I've never been able to visit his place until yesterday. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait!
We had a 15-minute wait, which was no big deal. The service was excellent – our waiter was cool, although I don't remember his name. To start, we tried the Danger Dogs and Brunch Kabobs. Fallon had to double-check the menu because those kabobs were so good. As a corn dog fanatic, the Danger Dogs were right up my alley.
Now, onto the drinks – we started with the Strawberry Lemonade, Ernest Palmer, Wicked Cherry Limeade, Brunch Punch, and a Purple Drank. Let me tell you, they're all amazing – baby makers, just FYI!
For the main course, I was eyeing the pork chops, but I was in the mood for something fried and drenched in hot sauce, so I went for the Chicken Fried Steak. That gravy was something else! Fallon went for the pork chops, and let me tell you, they were seasoned to perfection.
What I really appreciated about the menu was that the chef's creativity shone through in every dish. It's not your run-of-the-mill Dallas brunch spot – there's love and creativity in every bite. Sure, they have some basic dishes for the basic Betty's out there, but why settle for basic when you can brunch like a boss?
Jonathan's Diner OC
Diner has definitely won my brunch-loving heart!
