Sign petition opposing the request by Matthew Smith of Darwood Partners for a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for a gas station and convenience store (7-Eleven) at the northwest corner of Broadhead Road and Garden Valley Parkway (Case Number ZDC-139-2024). This proposal puts our children’s safety at risk by placing a high-traffic gas station right next to a middle school. Increased traffic, potential accidents, noise, and loitering are serious concerns that could negatively impact the safety and environment of our school zone.

Furthermore, there’s already a gas station being built less than half a mile away—do we really need another one so close by?

Let’s stand together to protect our kids and community. I urge the Waxahachie Planning and Zoning Commission to reject this proposal. Your voice matters—let's make it heard!
