Years ago, I shared with one of my clients that I wanted to go back to school to become a dental hygienist—something I had always wanted to do because I love working with and caring for teeth. She looked at me and said, “You can’t stop doing hair. This is your ministry.”
At the time, I replied, “No, I’m just doing hair. This isn’t ministry.”

Years later, God revealed the truth to me: this is marketplace ministry. Through the gift He gave me, I have the opportunity to serve His people, encourage them, listen to them, pray with them, and pour into their lives while doing what I love.
As women, we are often constantly pouring into others. But while we serve, encourage, and uplift those around us, we must also remember to fill our own cups. You cannot pour from an empty vessel.

Walk in your purpose, use your gifts, and don't forget to take care of yourself along the way.
