Some really quick edits from today’s shoot. I can’t wait to sit down and go through every photo and deliver this session to one of the best families out there.

Merry Christmas friends. This year has held both deep sorrow and deep grace for our family. We’ve walked through loss, uncertainty, and moments that have reminded us how fragile life truly is. In those places, Christ met us. Not with easy answers, but with His steady presence, His promises, and the reminder that He is near to the brokenhearted. Our hope has not been in circumstances changing, but in a Savior who entered our sorrow, conquered the grave, and is making all things new. We see very clearly that apart from Him we can do nothing. Through it all, we’ve been daily reminded of the gifts God has given—especially watching Jax (6) and Jett (3) grow, laugh, and learn what it means to trust the Lord in both joy and hardship. Their presence and joy have been a sweet kindness from God this year.As we celebrate the birth of Jesus and step into a new year, we do so with hearts anchored in hope—holding fast to the promise that “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore” (Revelation 21:4).May this Christmas bring you peace, comfort, and joy, and may the New Year ahead be filled with the sure hope we have in Him.

With Love,
The Burnetts

This season has been a heavy one. We’ve walked through the loss of my dad, and now my Nana… and we know more loss is ahead. Grief is a place you never want to be — yet strangely, a place you become grateful for, because it draws you near to your Savior in a way nothing else ever could. The Savior who freely gives strength when you have none… who cares for you when you are empty. This… is relationship with Him as it was meant to be.

In this loss, the Lord has shown me His intentionality through the lives of those who are no longer here — how they modeled Christ to me, how they shaped my faith, how they became part of the story that led me to salvation. Even now, in their absence, they are still pointing me back to Him.

I see again the refuge of the Savior — the One who calls me to rest in Him even in sorrow.

Friends, we need Him. You need Him. And I do too. I still try to live like I can handle things on my own — and I’m reminded again and again that I can’t. None of us can bear the weight of this world apart from Christ.

I’m grateful for the lives He used to show me that… and even in their death, they point me back to the God who is Lord over both the living and the dead.
