DFW Empowerment

I've seen so many friends from my present past who've had hardships and challenges, kids, divorce, layoffs etc... and they've posted about their graduations in college. I'm so beyond proud and excited for all of them who said nothing is going to hold them back. It's never too late to educate, be mom, be employee, wife or ex wife, and beautiful to get your goals and what you want and and show your kids what determination looks like. You are an example. You are a model. You are a strong woman.

My brother's journey day 7 in exile from his employer. Shall I send riding of cheer to him? The force is strong and yet has much to learn and gain from this world. 😂😂😂😂😂

Dear journal, I've been exiled from my employer for... I don't remember how long now... But today is the first day that my I was placed in charge of the offspring without specific directions! I feel as though I made at lease some progress.

I took them out to some networking location, but it was funny. There wasn't the usual band or cocktails and finger foods. There were swings and slides... Not sure how one would network while everyone is in constant motion like that. And despite being the only ones there, they seemed to have a good time.

The local ruler seemed to be pleased with my actions as when I returned with all parties (uninjured too!), she suggested I venture out to a cinema. I gratefully accepted. (Last Jedi!) Upon returning, I was greeted with a meal which I did not have to prepare!

I am not sure how long I can stay in her good graces as I am prone to "being in the way", but I endeavored to show my gratitude by washing the offspring. I even used some old reports in a brick cave in an attempt to bring warmth into the house. I am unsure if my attempts will be noted in my annual review, but it's worth a shot.

I an glad that I started this journal. It give me a chance to catalog my experience and notes to review later. I am hopeful that if I keep up my efforts and the local ruler sees fit, I will be able to maintain this positive position for many years to come.

One last note, there is apparently a large event coming in the next couple of days, some sort of conference. I wonder who the keynote speaker will be...

Wow. Day 6 makes for epic journey into the relm of my brother's life during time off. Truly eye opening. Enjoy this continued journey into the funny course of PTO and reacclimating to family life. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Dear journal, today was... different. I was apparently late this morning, or at least that's what the local ruler told me. The middle offspring was getting an early start on his all day meeting. It consisted of doughnuts (still not catered), gifts for the anniversary of his royal acceptance by the ruler, visits from rulers of foreign lands followed by his retreating to his office to practice his engineering skills. (While they looked like just small colored bricks of plastic, what he put together was quite accomplished.)

To follow up on the inquiry about male rulers in other kingdoms, some polite polling was done in a few low key social settings. While all queried were more than happy to discuss their own live-in royalty, none of them would go so far as to confirm publicly that they were either the ruler or CEO of their local kingdom. Something about not wanting to having to move into a small domicile in the fields... the local census bureau claims that they don't recognize any of the local micro-kingdoms as official countries. I would inform the local ruler here, but I do enjoy finding my clothes in the closet and not set ablaze. (Don't ask, I wish I didn't)

As of right now, I am about half way through my exile from work. I'm not sure how well it's going. I commonly get called into meetings only to be told my council is not longer needed.(Ruler calls, I enter room and try to do as told, then she says "never mind, I'll do it myself...") I have found that as long as the offspring are feed frequently they will be happy enough to not revolt. This is of key importance, for when they turn on each other, it causes the ruler to send me in to negotiate peace. I know that she has the ability to do this without me, but I am beginning to think that she is testing my skills. Maybe I can impress her enough that she will knight me. I hesitate to bring it up with her as the aforementioned polled men seem to think it's a bad idea to ask...
