To my Dallas and Collin County friends… Did any of you experience difficulty voting on runoff election day because of power outages at the voting locations? If so, I would love to hear more about your experiences. For instance, if there was no power, was there anyone there giving direction on where you could vote instead? If not, did they leave a sign with instructions?

Thank you to my husBen, kids, prayer warriors, volunteers, contributors, campaign staff, family and friends for all you have sacrificed in my race for the Texas State Board of Education.

While we came up just a few votes short (49.2%!), we succeeded in getting tens of thousands more Texans engaged in Reclaiming Education in the Lone Star State.

Underscoring just how close this race was, I’m especially proud to have carried the vote in half the counties of District 12 - including the largest counties of Dallas, Collin, and Grayson, and others like Cooke, Denton, and Delta.

Thank you, voters.

Congratulations to Pam Little for winning a hard fought race. I look forward to seeing her win in November to keep this seat Republican!

Dallas friends - the following voting locations are now open until 7 PM: UPUMC, Bradfield, Armstrong, Longfellow, Walnut Hill Rec Center, WT White.
