"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." β Jeremiah 29:11
Leaving home was harder than I expected. Saying goodbye to my family, my comfort zone, and the life I was used to was not easy.
Looking back, this journey took a lot of patience, courage, and prayer. There were moments when I doubted myself, when the process felt too long, and when I almost gave up. But God never left my side. He reminded me that His plans are greater than my worries and that His timing is always right.
Now, here I am. I am far from home, but closer than ever to the dream I once only dared to pray for. I feel nervous, but more than that, I feel thankful. I carry with me the love of my family, the strength of my faith, and the pride of being a Filipino teacher.
This is not a goodbye. It is a beginning. It is a reminder that dreams do not work unless you do. That growth happens outside of our comfort zones. And that even when you are afraid, you keep going because your purpose is greater than your fear.
Please include me in your prayers as I begin this new chapter as a Special Education Teacher in Dallas. I may be far from home, but my heart will always carry where I came from. π
