Reminiscing over the last days of summer… it has been an eventful one for me I relocated my family to Dallas, Tx.

Our meal time has become more sacred than usual being one of things that allowed us to create normalcy especially for my son during such a transition.

One thing I can not comprise when cooking is flavor and this balsamic steak salad delivers on all points!

Enjoy this steak marinade!

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup of soy sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix ingredients in a bowl. Wash and pat dry steak, place in a ziplock bag with marinade for 30mins to 2 hours.

Who is meeting me poolside today?!

I can’t beat the heat so it looks like I will be joining it poolside with some simple but tasteful bites!

Toast is a humble staple in the kitchen but I am adding some color and full flavor with whipped cream cheese, peanut butter, and fresh seasonal fruits.
