DASH - Dallas Australian Shepherd and Herding Dog Rescue
🩷 Blossom and Bubbles 🩷
are 2 Aussie mixed puppies that are coming to DASH from Nacogdoches, Texas, where we’ve had a wonderful foster family with an eight-year-old girl take great care of them!
Their mother was an Australian Shepherd, but they appeared that they could have different fathers, which is possible, even with the same litter.
Bubbles looks more like a typical Australian Shepherd. She’ll be a medium size probably close to 40 pounds when she’s full grown. She could be mixed with border collie or a different kind of Shepherd, but nothing too big since her weight maintenance has been on par with a medium sized dog.
Between the volunteers and the fosters and all of the breed software that exists, almost all the mixes for Blossom are coming up as mixed with Jack, Russell or Parsons terrier. I personally thought that she looks a little bit like a beagle as well but she’s going to be smaller probably around 30 pounds full grown.
Both girls have been impeccably cared for. They’ve already had two sets of booster shots deworming rabies shots microchips they’ll be completely ready for their new homes and we will work out spa dates when they’re six months old and cover those with their new adopted families
We’re looking for homes for each puppy, preferably with a male-dog playmate or two! Dogs have any breed but similar full grown size and energy level would be a perfect combination for both Bubbles and Blossom. They’re both medium energy. It was just some running around with another lockdown and have quiet time for a few hours at a time after some good exercise and playtime!
They’re crate-trained
and housebroken but we do want new families to anticipate there can be minor setback because they are still young.
Both girls are really smart and responsive to training! They love praise as much as they love treats and are definitely warm, cuddly and affectionate Puppies.
Even though they’re technically babies, they’re still pretty advanced because they’ve been in indoor living with a family that’s worked with them on the crate training and housebreaking, which is pretty much the hardest part of having a little puppy!
They love toys and chewies; They may chase a ball and not bring it back, but they have plenty of time to learn and we’re looking for families where someone’s at home during the day with time and attention and affection to give to each of the puppies (in separate homes)
A dream home would have at least one male canine Companion bigger than these two and young enough to be energetic and playful and to offer companionship.

MEET DODGER!
Dodger is a beautiful Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix who is a happy, playful, sweet, and loving young dog looking for his forever home.
In a very sad twist of fate, Dodger and his brother’s owner was found deceased in the home, leaving these boys with nowhere to go except animal services. Thankfully, they are now safe with DASH and ready for a fresh start.
Dodger has always enjoyed canine companionship so we would love to see him placed in a home with another friendly dog of similar size and energy level.
Dodger has been evaluated by caretakers we know and trust, who describe him as a gentle, affectionate family dog.
He has a moderate energy level—active and fun outdoors, yet happy to relax and cuddle indoors with his people.
Dodger may need a little leash-training but he is already crate-trained and housebroken and accustomed to living as a beloved indoor/outdoor companion dog.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving family companion, Dodger could be the perfect addition to your home - and he sure needs to find a place ASAP because his brother has in Adopter and we loved them to be able to go to their new homes at the same which will aid with the process of being separated. Once they get to new homes, they don’t remember where they were before!
