Barking Above The Rest

I spent the past week with Ripple, a Basset Hound who looks like he was designed by a toddler with a love for sausages and sad eyes—and I mean that in the best possible way. I’ve always wanted a Basset, and now it’s official: one day, I will own a loaf of my own.

He was the sweetest little guy who insisted on being babied like royalty, but don’t let the droopy eyes fool you—this boy had some serious mischief in his soul. I’ve got at least three stories that start with “So there I was…” and end with “...and that’s how he ended up with the ______.”

Watching his nose do its thing was like living with a furry little detective—except he didn’t always solve the crimes, he sometimes committed them.

Ripple is an absolute legend, and I already can’t wait for round two.

Okay, I may be a little biased, but I’m convinced there’s nothing better than hanging out with a Golden Retriever. Ms. Remi stayed with us for three whole days, and let me tell you, she was an absolute blast! From her wild zoomies to her love of walks and her serious foodie status, she kept me on my toes the whole time. But the best part? Watching her excitement when she saw her owners at pick-up—her joy was contagious! Remi definitely melted my heart, and I’m already hoping to hang out with this sweet girl again soon!
