SOLD ;-) The newest Madison’s Monkeys Fine Art Soft Fabric Sculpture. Meet Frida Kahlo Girl Monkey
At a family Christmas, I found this pair of Freda Kahlo knee socks in my stocking. It took both socks and a small fuzzy lime green sock to create this Doll – by far my most ambitious.

Quilt Fabric Recreations
I was privileged to live next door to my Grandmother… She was a resourceful widow when I was very little. I would sit in her den and watched her sew ¬ While I sorted her buttons. She raised chickens sold eggs and took in sewing to make ends meet. I remember going with her to the feed shore and looking way up at the towering shelves of feed in pretty printed fabric. Quilts were a part of life in the winter. And she had used those feed sack to make clothes for herself, my dad, and his two sisters my Aunts. She gave me her last quilt when I left home.
I have collected antique feed sacks for years, and one of my fabric design offerings is recreating these patterns and offering them in custom colors for the quilting community. I recreate them in black and white layers in order to customize the color scheme for clients. And then have them printed on fabric.
Some of my feed sacks were donated; and featured at the Cotton & Thrift Exhibit. Curated by professor Marian Ann J. Montgomery at the Museum of Texas Tech University in 2019
