We all have a story that changed our lives – now, it’s time to learn how to share those stories in a dynamic, engaging way!
With summer on the horizon, we invite all passionate volunteers, adventurers and leaders to join us from Sunday, July 12, through Saturday, July 18, at the Philmont Training Center.
The main course? Learning from subject matter and Scouting experts through “Story Telling: Inspire Others Through Photography and Stories.” Through hands-on experience, attendees will learn the mortivational storytelling and techniques for smartphone photography.

What does it mean to be courageous?
Tonight on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) flagship ministry and talk show “Praise,” Scouting America President, CEO and Chief Scout Executive, Roger Krone, joins Candace Lee and Eric Newman, authors of “George Goodwin, Dragon Slayer: A Scouting Legend.” The special segment centers on courage, character and the real-world lessons young people build through Scouting.
In the story, George and his fellow Scouts encounter a larger-than-life adventure at Big Mountain in West Virginia (a setting that draws inspiration from our high adventure base The Summit Bechtel Reserve). Yet, the heart of the book proves something Scouts experience every day: learning to lead, serve others, face challenges and Be Prepared.
