is OPTIMISM and HOPE.

I have been thinking of this word a lot lately. My High School season was cut short with my injury. Now, my AAU season looks like it will be a wash.

Yet every day, I am grateful, optimistic, and HOPEful. I am sticking with my rehab and I know I will emerge a stronger and better player.

The world as a whole is going through challenges. We will learn a lot about ourselves as a race. Members of our race, like Helen Keller, (both deaf and blind) remind me of the feeling of HOPE. She managed to receive a bachelor's degree and become a world-renowned Arthur, lecturer, and political activist, despite her deafness and blindness. She reminds me of the power of human will and there is nothing any of us cannot achieve without HOPE. So long as we have HOPE, we have a way!

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize Just a FEW of the MANY strong black women who have paved (or are paving) the way for generations to come. THANK YOU!
