I've gone and hit bottom, notes that is, playing bass with some guys soon....

A couple changes are afoot on my streaming services tunes. I am taking down Lipstick and Bullets and will replace it with a more rock 'n roll version in a couple of days. In the meantime I added an "unplugged" version, more fully formed than the rather basic original release (which I may put back up as the 'demo' version). Artwork below.

I also removed Animal in Bed, to be replaced with a slighlty remixed version, in a couple days (the old one must be fully removed before I can replace a track). See Allen's Recording rules below as to why this was done on this track😆🤓🤪😎

ALLEN's GUIDE to HOME RECORDING 🙂🎤🥁🪘🎸.

1. Record basic tracks (rhythm, bass, drums or percussion, vocal), then add embellishments (leads, extra instruments and sounds etc). Mix, trim, do loudness normalization, you're done!! Ready to upload it to streaming sites!

2. No you are NOT done. Do NOT upload anywhere.
GO TO BED.

3. Listen to it in the morning.

4. Now fix the stuff you hear:
- the mix is off.
- the last instrument you recorded is too loud
- that bit of noise
- the bad off-key notes
- amplify those single words sung that are not loud enough to be understood
- re-think arrangement
- re-think the key you recorded in

5. Mix and render etc....Now you are done! YAY!

6. NO YOU ARE NOT DONE..... repeat steps 3 to 5.

7. Put it aside for a few days. Then listen to it again and again. Anything else to do?

8. OKAY... Now, maybe in fact you are done! YAY!! 🥁🪇🎺🎷🎸🪗🪕🎹🪉🎻
