On March 30, 2024, Kamal Sharma Foundation and Irving Everest Centennial Lions Club successfully organized and concluded Cancer Awareness Program.
In the program held at the Wellington Community Hall in Flower Mound, how and at what age do children, adults and the elderly get cancer. How to avoid and how to avoid cancer if it occurs and how to get treatment at affordable prices.

At the beginning of program, Dr. Vishnu Maya Upadhyaya presented about children's cancer disease. Similarly, in the next phase of the program, Dr. Vinita Kharel Nepal, Dr. Bishnumaya Upadhyay, Pharmacist Dr. Laxman Wagle and Parkland Health's Nirmala Lamichhane RN, BSN answered various questions about cancer and also answered questions from the audience in the form of a panel discussion.

Two young brave cancer survivors Prakriti Pandey and Dikshya Bashyal also bravely presented their experiences with cancer, and how they overcame it. All the audience became emotional and inspired.
The fund raise conducted by Irving Everest Lions Club and the results of the raffle draw for supporting childhood cancer were also announced at the event.

Lastly, all speakers and doctors that participated, and made program successful were given token of love and appreciation by the Irving Everest Lions Club and Kamal Sharma Foundation.

We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended our recent program, the Health Awareness and Kamal Sharma Memorial Night, hosted by the Kamal Sharma Foundation. Thank you to everyone who came out to attend and support Kamal Sharma Foundation's first event. It was an incredibly successful evening, and we are so grateful for all of the support we received from our community. It was also an excellent health awareness program by our guests : Dr. Sridevi Juvvadi, Dr. Vishnu Maya, and Nurse Ms. Rama Saptoka. Once again, thank you all for joining such a noble cause and enabling us to move forward with our journey.
