From the town of Amalfi we visited Ravello. Our favorite was Villa Cimbrone with its gorgeous gardens featuring wisteria draped pergola and the Infinity terrace overlooking the sea and Amalfi Coast. We walked back to Amalfi via lots of steps - about 1500- but all downhill. Whew! It’s a beautiful walk, worth it for the views. Stopping in Atrani for lunch then finding the pedestrian tunnel that puts you back in Amalfi. Next we visited Positano and ended the day with gelato and drinks before taking the ferry back to Amalfi.

Post cruise we drive to the Amalfi coast and stayed in the town of Amalfi. We had amazing views from our room and outdoor terrace. Amalfi- a central location on the Amalfi coast with cobblestone streets, pastel buildings stacked up the cliffside, the Duomo di Amalfi, cute shops and restaurants. By day it can be crowded and by night the day trippers have left you with a quiet town. We stayed at a gem- great views from the cliff top Hotel Miramalfi. Founded in 1956, 70 years later it is still family run. We could walk to town in 15 minutes but we also used the hotel’s car to get from the town center to the hotel. The beach club is accessed by a cliff elevator with a curving pool that appears to be carved into the cliffside. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile and a buongiorno.
