Me acting disappointed when they ask to skip school for a hunt:

We quit hunting for a week…

Let’s just say some decisions age worse than gas station sushi.

First light’s already come and gone.

You’re posted up under a tree, looking over a quiet valley, trying to decide if the morning’s about to get Western or if the birds are still hitting snooze.

Then, out of nowhere, this longbeard slips past a bush like he owns the county, throws his head up, and absolutely hammers one off.

He’s close enough to get your heart rate stupid, but not close enough to make it easy.

So now the game starts.

Do you stay patient, give him a soft yelp, and let him make the mistake?

Or do you get aggressive, cut the distance, and risk blowing the whole valley apart?
