What a stud we’re rooting for some more Bombs! 💪🏾📈
Four-sport South Central standout Jack Herd, Kansas Pregame feature athlete in both basketball and track, continues to climb the state and national leaderboard in the javelin throw following a hurl of 213 feet, 5 inches at Bucklin's Red Ace Relays on Friday.
Herd is part of an incredibly talented group of Kansas javelin throwers this season that includes four athletes with throws of more than 210 feet.
Blue Valley West senior Jason McNicoll leads the way with a throw of 220-6 at the Seaman Relays. Piper USD 203 senior Max Clark recorded a throw of 213-7 at the same meet while Olathe West's Cade Zimmerman recorded a 211-1 at the Leitel Legacy Invitational in Manhattan.

Huffman boys locked and loaded!😤
There’s been a lot of talk about the Trackbarn Champion backpacks awarded at the K-State Relays. To clarify: under KSHSAA Rule 20, these are considered “merchandise,” which puts them in a different category than medals or ribbons.
We designed these to celebrate the elite performance of the athletes, but the rulebook has other ideas. Our founder is breaking down the situation and what this means for the champions who earned them.
What do you think? Should high school athletes be allowed to keep merchandise prizes, or is the rule there for a reason? 🤔👇 Drop your thoughts in the comments.
