If you don’t dip your fries or bread in the shrimp and grits gravy, that means the gravy ain’t good enough 👐🏾
It’s truly like an appetizer and a meal, wrapped in one.

Before you go, make a reservation. This place was PACKED on a Saturday, restaurant and patio. Local, neighborhood spot everyone hits up. It may be because the food is tasty and the brunch cocktails are cheap. We love a mimosa less than 5 bucks 🙆🏾♀️
The mimosa is 4 bucks 🤏🏾 Carafes are 15 🤌🏾
Alright so the food, get the shrimp and grits. Idk what I expected, but I didn’t expect to love the shrimp and grits as much as I did. Perfectly seasoned. The shrimp... JUICY.
Also, I usually try everyone’s food at the table, but I think I was just so content with my food, | let people enjoy their meals. And everybody killed it. My man was a bit sad his burger wasn’t cooked medium rare, but he loved the taste!

Not pictured, the 2 carafes we purchased and my lovely pancakes. I’II definitely be back to try this spot for dinner, I need that Cajun pasta!
Lastly, if you got kids, this place is great. Kiddos loved the food, mommy tried it too 🙌🏾
If you’re looking for a cozy brunch spot 👉🏾 check out 🫶🏾 They have 3 locations in the DFW area. Plano, Southlake, and Frisco.

Sometimes you won’t have the same experience as everyone else, and that’s okay.
The way I couldnt wait to try was actually crazy. I was too excited, and that was just off the design of the restaurant. It’s beautiful. Stunning. All the things. Got the Michelin star, and I just had to experience the first-class service.
Let’s just say, my girl and I had a contest on who could get the server’s attention first 🥴 my girl won.

Wanderer Australian Filet Mignon
Potato Gnocchi
Truffle Tagliatelle
New Zealand Lamb Chops
Chocolate Mousse (a must)
Hamachi Crudo (licked the plate)
Blue Crystal Prawns
Cocktail I loved (name please?)
There were a lot of good things about this restaurant. The restaurant was gorgeous in person just as it is in the photos. The crudo matched the hype. I wanted to pack the pesto sauce that came with the prawns to-go for a nice sandwich I’d make at home. The chocolate mousse was damn good, I didn’t want to share with my girls.
The sad things? The service. We were shocked at how bad the service was on a Monday night. We ordered the bread, but there were kitchen issues, so it wasn’t served that night. We were hoping for some sort of replacement, we even asked for sides. Nothing. The potato gnocchi—overpowered by the caramelized onions. We couldn’t even finish this plate. The meats…presentation was 10/10, but babyyyy we truly needed the sauce.
Will I try this place again even after spending 200 each? Probably so. I need to try the duck and the lobster. I also need the mousse again. And I think I went in with high expectations but just couldn’t get past the bad service.
Bad experiences happen, and that’s okay. Have you been to Mamani? What did you have? How’d you like it? I’m down to give it another try.
P.S. If you’re into dirty martinis and stuff, apparently it “tastes like water,” and that’s a good thing 🤌🏾 my girls were very happy. Me, I was confused.

If you’re looking for suits behind the glass counter, don’t come here.
Shoutout to for not only helping ya girl with finding something nice for her man, but also being cool as hell. We literally talked about sushi and google reviews for 20 minutes 😂
Will easily come back here, but like I’m also not ballin so maybe stack some coins up again 🤷🏾♀️
I walked in and was like, “please help, my man needs a gold chain.” I showed them a pic of him, told them a little about his style, and they took it from there. My man was happy on Christmas Day. It was perfect.

The real Carbone’s 🙆🏾♀️
IYKYK
But if we’re playing nice, here’s formerly known as Carbone’s, and I’m obsessed, so obsessed I’ve been twice in one week.
The restaurant is beautiful. The service is everything, and the food is ridiculously tasty. Each bite was comforting AF.
