I flew to Florida and spent the majority of today with 90 (an a half) year old John Jacob. Civil Rights Leader and former Executive Vice-President of a Fortune 100 company. He is the 60th Laurel Wreath Awardee: the highest honor granted in "Oh Noble Kappa Alpha Psi". The Laurel Wreath is an ancient Greek symbol of victory, honor, and distinction. Sitting at a country club 5 hour lunch with the man, the myth, the individual who is one (1) honorary doctorate degree short of being able to count those doctorates on ALL fingers and toes. We discussed history, lives, wives, careers, faith, Frat and politics.
