Bruising after filler and normal and expected. Although the needle is tiny, it is still a puncture wound and your body will react. Swelling and bruising should resolve within 2 weeks.

Key is, EVERYONE REACTS DIFFERENTLY. It is important to have a good rapport with your injector and ASK QUESTIONS!

Things to avoid pre-treatment to help minimize bruising:
- Alcohol
- NSAIDs (Motrin, IBUPROFEN, alleve)
- Fish oil
- St John’s wart
- Vitamin E

Things to do post treatment:
- take Arnika
- Cold compress
- Avoid smoking, use of straws, aggressive massaging for 1-2 weeks
