Homemade Spaghetti Sauce 🍝🍅✨
A savory, rich sauce full of flavor—perfect for any pasta night! 😋
Ingredients:
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil 🌿
1 ½ lbs lean ground beef 🍖
1 medium onion, chopped 🧅
2 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
1 green bell pepper, chopped 🌶️
1 cup mushrooms, sliced 🍄
1 bay leaf 🍃
¼ tsp oregano 🌱
1 tsp Italian seasoning 🌿
1 tbsp tomato paste 🍅
1 (28oz) can crushed tomatoes 🍅
1 (12oz) can tomato sauce 🍅
½ tsp salt 🧂
¼ tsp black pepper 🌶️
1 tbsp sugar 🍬
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional) 🌿
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook the Beef 🍖
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned. Drain excess fat.
2️⃣ Sauté the Vegetables 🧅🧄
Add the onion, garlic, green pepper, and mushrooms to the pot. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened and fragrant.
